Since 04, I discovered what sprites where. A month later, after little more discovery, I found what Sprites sheets where. Since then, I found things and tried making some comics. After a while it became an addiction to me to find them, and do little comio-making. When I and my family had to restart the computer after some years of memory of a lot of things, not just sprites, I lost them all. Just recently I discovered new KOF and Samurai Spirits/Showdown sprites. So my search, my addiction, began once again, coming at me in full blow. This maybe my third ask on a forum, but can't help it. Second to Diamond Soft, Third to Versus' oldest site, so old I can't even tell you it's name, however the new site has also ridden from my memories as I only spotted it once in my life in the past. There are hard to find sprites out there, and I am here to find more than this little amount that I have through the easy find in Google. In the past I came around through many, many huge collections of sweet sheets before I lost them. Now I am back to regain what lost and then some. What I require aren't easy to find, unless your that lucky or a skillful seeker, and may take time. I've gone through the easy finds, but will take a look at any reply's link with big, or very useful collections of what I need. Sorry if I seem begging or at a possible forceful mood in your eyes, but I just need some better sheets. Not the half-ass ones I see so much I become sick of them. I need great ones, new ones that I can never forget. I need to be surprised, if it were ever the possibility. Background including. They are equivalently important to the characters, which, i hope, are at tall-size (basically normal size) enough to fit their bg. Recommend more than any other: Feudal, Japanese theme-like, Japanese music (sorry. I really have no idea where one can find music, or even use them on flash), Dojos, and even villages, or inside houses (when I mean houses/homes, I mean Chrono trigger-like, but in a Snk-character's size) I know some may say load a rom, load a emu, and simply use such and such. I know that, I probably, unless I lost it somewhere in fav, have the link in making rips. But cannot do it correctly. Ripping is simply arduous for me to do, especially hits, let alone their specials. Don't make me even try to tell you of the super specials. X.X; Those things, including movement, are all hard on computer, let alone cutting them out. Please, if anyone has any advice or anything, please link it here, or to me PM if you feel that it's neccessary to say it privately than out in the open. I know all the types of spriters. And Mugen. If you think even for a second that I can do that, you are out of it. That's harder to do than emulators and roms. - Samurai Spirits/Showdown [V / Zero (V and Zero may be the same thing, dunno)/VI] (Extremely important; the most important and their bg) - Denjin Makai [One and/or II] - Garou Mark of the Wolves [I don't know if Tailbain has his human-form's sheet or not, but I do know other good chars are in it] - Ninja master's: haoh-ninpo-cho (very, very nice chars; very important to find) - Last Blade [II / X (2 and x may posibly be the same thing, dunno)] (I know this is one of the hardest to find. But I did find most of their sheets before I had to shut down my computer and lose them. I know this one old comic site having them. Rune's Comics or something. But last heard it was shut down.) - SNK [really, really, need the new KOFs] (Simple as it may sound, it's really an arduous find; especially the old men chars and the ninjas and secret characters) - SNK Vs Capcom / Marvel Vs Capcom / Street Fighter (the only important sheet I need is basically Ibuki, the hardest find of them all!) - Vampire Savior / Darkstalkers (most are very important; don't need normal sheets of Jedah, Feliecia, and Pyron and Demitri - I'm dumb!, in the past they were once the main sheets I wanted to find, now I have them, but, sadly, they, and the pharaoh are the only ones I have) - Martial Masters (totally awesome chars. and really, really needed) - Real Bout / Real Bout Fatal Fury (really, really needed) - Metal Slug [4 and up, especially the newest ones and their bg] (Don't know why but Metal Slug has caught my attention on making a movie) ~ Please & Thank you P.S. Credit goes to the creator, of couse the finder of this because of their work and find. I know spriting is arduous and respect that to a great meaning. Sorry if this may be one of the biggest requests, but I need this in order to make some flash movies, probably put in Newgrounds once i can afford Flash. THis site has almost everything I need. It's that they are all in animation, and hard to save as it messes up the computer, forcing me to use my virus protectors more than twice. http://www3.emu-zone.org/host/emugif/index.htm All Japanese btw, and when you don't right click, that's when you cannot begin to save anymore. Really apprieciated of anyone could get something out of there... |

Just a word of advice: Don't start a thread with such a vague topic with a lot of content if you want most people to actually read it. I don't really feel like reading your huge post only know that it is "important." |

No one should be expected to read that much text with lines like "What I require aren't easy to find, unless your that lucky or a skillful seeker, and may take time." If your English is poor, you should get straight to the point. I think the summary is, "I want you to make me great looking graphics for free." |

Maybe we interpret Off-Topic as instructions? I try to contribute to the topic of threads, but only when the originator takes the time to come up with a useful title/description and a well written post. If the originator doesn't care to take some time be serious about a thread why should I? This particular one was really poorly done. I'm sure the originator will learn from it. In any case, if you don't speak English well you should try to keep the post short and to the point. I wouldn't be trying to tell my life story on a French or Japanese forum (assuming I would ever have reason to post on a French or Japanese forum) because I don't speak the language well (or at all). -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc <code> Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? I was thinking it would be cool to have an add-on where you could create summaries of posts that were shared. I don't know where the add-on could save the info though. |

Summary: marukisu meiru said: I like making sprite comics. I don't have sprites. I don't know how to rip spritesheets from ROMs. I want you to find the sprites and give them to me. I want sprites for: [pretty long list of games]. Once I have the sprites, I'll make a Flash animation, although I don't have Flash nor I know how to use it. There's a page where I already found most of what I'm looking for, but I don't know how to get the sprites out of animated GIFs.
As you can see, it isn't really that important. -R |

Sorry. I was typing way to fast to check any of my writing. Well, if you can't find any good links or anything, could someone have the chance to click on that link I took a hard time to find, and possibly send me the animations and backgrounds in it? It doesn't seem to cooperate with my slow computer. Seems like I made a big waste of words. I'm dumb! ... (cries) |

You should have summary, introduction, background, problem, method, results, conclusion and references. In that order and well formated, pdf format preferred. |

marukisu meiru said: I'm dumb!... (cries) If you do plan on sticking around these forums you may not want to use the "L O L" bomb alot. It gets translated in "I'm dumb" as you can see. To respond to your request about ripping sprites and stuff from ROMS, the only way I know how to do that (Emulators + roms + screenshots = profit) takes a considerable amount of time to get all the sprites in a given game. I'm sure you (or someone else rather) could whip up a nifty little application that would dig through a given rom and extract all it's image data into images or something. Right now thats a bit above my head. ================================================= |

Yeah, but what if Matthew fixes the algorithm after the thread is closed? -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc <code> Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? Yeah, but it could be a fun redirect to counter your argument down the road. "Don't listen to BAF, he's dumb! He said so himself!" My writing is terrible. I know. Right now I'm trying to save my money on StyleWriter to help me out as I type. --; I guess I have no help. And lost the site how to rip sprites. Anyone know a good site of it, and any good rom sites of any of the games I said earlier. If some don't work with Kawaks, anyone know what other roms go to what emu? - Samurai Spirits/Showdown [V / Zero/ Zero special (V and Zero may be the same thing, dunno)] |

Your writing is readable and understandable (which is more than some members here can say), that is all that really matters. Rather than look for roms that go with a certain emulator, why don't you just get a good emulator that correctly supports all the roms for the console it is emulating?
