From: Canada Website: http://www.binarysurge.com/ “I started programming in BASIC at the age of 10. I didn't know about QBASIC, so I wrote it out on paper, thereby securing for myself the coveted precocious programmer status. (It was a program that asked you what your name was and how you were feeling, and responded accordingly.) I started to learn C++ at the age of 12. Allegro came with the distro of DJGPP I was using, which in turn came with a book my father bought for me on a business trip, "Learn C++ in 24 Hours." Now I'm studying Arts & Science at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. I'm pursuing a combined honours in Arts & Science and Origins Research (origins of space-time, chemical elements, structure in the universe, life, species, and humanity) and a Music Performance Diploma in piano. I program for fun. I was diagnosed six years ago with elegantcodeitis, a not-too-rare condition which prevents me from actually finishing any games due to an obsession with an impractical problem-solving aesthetic.” |
